By analyzing and assessing your current IT Systems, Line of Business Solutions, Business Processes and challenges we can provide a unique solution through the development of software to cater for your business needs. All whilst following the Software Development Life Cycle.
Understanding the vastness of the problem and being able to ring fence the problem with a proposed and defined solution.
The Scoping Session will define the size of the project and provide a guideline to avoid project scope creep, thus protecting both the vendor and the customer. Resources can be allocated according to the Scope of the Project as well as adding to the increased delivery of the project as a success.
The goal of the Proposed Solution is to concisely describe the uniquely designed solution, document the Scoping and Analysis that led up to the design of the specific solution. To give costs and to schedule estimate timelines, and to achieve team and stakeholder agreement on the desired solution as well as the overall project direction.
Setting up tasks and timelines and assigning responsibilities to each role player within a Microsoft Project document. The Project Plan details the step by step process keeping the stakeholders aligned with the progress of all phases within the Software Development Life Cycle.
Breakdown of all the business needs through thorough analysis and investigation during the Business Analysis workshop sessions. Evaluate Process improvement through Process reengineering, organizational change or strategic planning and process development. Protocol will investigate your business systems, and take an overall view of the situation in order to document the current environment with constraints, and propose the solution, as well as the steps required to be able to achieve the desired results.
Visual design has the potential to make or break a user experience. Good visuals can intuitively direct users how to use the features of well-designed interfaces.
We make sure to know the Purpose of the Design. This will define the hierarchy and layout of any design prior to beginning work on the visual apects of a project. With this knowledge, we can cater to the customers' design needs with appropriate visuals.
Consistent branding is equally important. Carrying through our customer's brand throughout all and any projects, ensures a familiarity with the end-user, and underline's our customers positioning.
This is where everything comes together.
As part of the earlier phases, we will recommend certain platforms and technologies depending on your specific business needs. We will then as part of the development phase, use these technologies to build the solution. We value innovation in our company and therefore stay abreast with the latest industry standard technologies and methodologies. During the development phase, we will architect the solution with a keen focus on the scalability and maintainability of the solution utilizing best practices.
Internal testing deals with low-level implementation. Here each function or component is tested. The end goal is to allow the consumers of these products the freedom to concentrate more on their own applications and use cases, rather than retesting what Protocol has already examined and validated.
Based not only on internal testing, but also on decades of experience in customer deployments, Protocol tests various components (both hardware and software) in many dimensions to help ensure the best product for our customers.
User acceptance testing (UAT) consists of a process of verifying that a solution works for the user.
The UAT acts as a final verification of the required business functionality and proper functioning of the system, emulating real-world conditions on behalf of the paying client or a specific large customer. If the software works as required and without issues during normal use, one can reasonably extrapolate the same level of stability in production.
Post-go-live is just as crucial a project phase as, well, going live in the first place.
It is part of the service that we provide to the client and deserves equal consideration. Clients start using the product/service after the implementation and deployment are over, so we can’t afford to breathe a sigh of relief and walk away. Protocol has the same amount of focus in continuing to serve our clients to make sure that they gain, and keep, the business value of the application.
